Saturday, July 11 • 10:30 am • Facebook Live

This week, Ms. Dearsha will be joined by Ron Kurtz as they read together, The World Needs More Purple People, written by actress and producer Kristen Bell and illustrated by Benjamin Hart.

Everyone knows that purple is Ron's favorite color. Make it yours, too, by wearing something purple for this special storytime. Come to Story & Song to purchase your copy and get a free pair of way cool-looking purple shades!

Where's Waldo?

July 1 thru August 31

Looking for a free family-friendly activity that also supports your local neighborhood bookstore?

Come on in to Story & Song and pick up an image of Waldo that you can color and cut out. Then take a photo of Waldo, doing whatever he's doing: cleaning house, hiding in a bookstore, walking a dog. Share your photo on social media, tagging @storyandsongbb, #FindWaldoLocal, and #WheresWaldo.

After this promotion ends on August 31st, we'll award a $25 gift card to the most creative entry!

Join The "Read Together Be Together" Literacy Movement

READ TOGETHER, BE TOGETHER is a nationwide movement developed by Penguin Random House in partnership with Parents magazine that celebrates the importance, and power, of the shared reading experience between an adult and a child. Reading aloud regularly to babies and young children is one of the most effective ways to foster early literacy and is a key factor responsible for building language and social skills.

Book Hugs is a special program created by Story & Song Bookstore Bistro. You can nurture the young readers in your life by giving the gift of a wrapped book periodically. Complete the form here, and we'll take care of the rest.
